Zanzala
Zanzala was a tiny kitten found in an alleyway, walking in circles, and falling over. He was found to have brain damage from some unknown source and was extremely vulnerable. With time and vet treatment, along with large doses of TLC, Zan gradually learned to walk more or less normally, though he would never be safe given unrestricted access to outdoors. Zan has grown into a handsome young cat and is in a home where he'll always be protected. He's somewhat "away with the fairies" because of his brain damage, but he's a happy little soul.
Rufus
It was very clear that something was seriously wrong with stray Rufus when we took him in from living on the streets. But nothing prepared us for the vet informing us that Rufus had been SHOT! What we thought was an abscess was where the shotgun pellet had gone into his head. He was very poorly from lead poisoning from the pellet and had to go through a long period of recovery, but recover he did and turned into a handsome ginger. Despite extensive publicity in the newspapers, on local radio and an appeal on BBC 1's Crime Watch programme, no-one was ever caught for shooting Rufus. Life is hard enough for strays without someone shooting them.
Mr Blue
This little cat was having a terrible time living stray. It wasn't his fault that his previous owners had failed to get him neutered, but tom cats don't take kindly to an entire male moving into their territory and poor Mr Blue was getting beaten up by tom cats all over town. It's not just females that need to be neutered. Male cats do as well. Mr Blue is now happy and settled in a home. Neutered too!
Sunny
Beautiful Sunny was living with a large colony of stray and feral cats at a derelict church, that we got involved with helping trap, neuter and relocate. She had been with the colony for several years and had countless kittens in that time. Many of the cats were too feral to tame and got homes on farms once they were caught and neutered, but Sunny, although very nervous and cautious, wasn't feral and settled into a home very well. With time and patience, even very timid cats like Sunny can turn out to be loving pets.
Milo
Milo had a home but moved out when his owner got a dog. He was then living rough for many years before falling ill and returning to his owner's door for help, as he had nowhere else to turn. Milo was suffering from severe flea infestation and the little critters were literally draining the life out of him. Another couple of hours would have been fatal. His life hung in the balance for a few weeks before he started to recover. We found him a great new home, where he's loved and looked after, away from dogs. And pesky fleas!
Sophie
Sophie has now found her new family
Star
r was abandoned by his owner and struggling to find food in bins, he found himself a lovely lady who fed him and take care of him while we got him neutered, chipped , flea'd and wormed and within a short time we was excited for him to go to his new forever home until it was discovered he had infection in his gums and needs dental treatment after a course of antibiotics and anti inflammatory mediation another trip to the vets to plan next course of treatment. Star is a lovely cat so its great he has now found a forever home
Reggie
Reggie.. he is 4 years old and has spent most of his life as a stray visiting many homes for food. He came in looking very sad with many war wounds. He has scrubbed up well. He is a gentle , quiet boy and really coming out of his shell now.
Bissel
This is beautiful Bissel (name comes from a fundraising naming competition). She’s no more than 2 years old but had been living outside at a school for the last year, being fed by the staff. She came in with a leg injury and couldn’t put any weight on one of her back legs but thankfully it was a sprain not a break. She’s now had her spay and is really affectionate and purry and loves lying around on her blanket having strokes
Banjo
Fliss & Dora
Dora and Fliss came into care after being bereaved. Dora is around 14 years old and Fliss is around 9 Years . They are both such lovely cats who don’t need much more than a place to call home. They have beautiful temperaments and deserve their second chance . Its great to say that Fliss and Dora now have their happy home and will be staying together
